Campus and Harvard Square safety:
The Harvard Campus and Cambridge in general are safe areas that can be walked safely day or night. However, Cambridge is an urban area adjacent to Boston and does have occasional crime. Should you have any issues, please contact the Harvard Police at 617-495-1212 for emergencies or 617-495-1215 for non-emergencies. Please visit The HUPD website at: www.hupd.harvard.edu for more information regarding safety.
We recommend avoiding Cambridge Common after dark and poorly lit areas by the Charles River to be on the safe side. |
